BoKlok shortlisted for prestigious RESI Award

BoKlok is delighted to announce that BoKlok Housing Ltd has been shortlisted in the ‘Newcomer’ category at this year’s RESI Awards.

BoKlok has been shortlisted alongside a select number of residential property specialists, from house builders to consultants, all striving to demonstrate how they have had a positive impact on the sector, over the last three years.

All successful applicants were required to showcase: outstanding achievements; a bold strategic vision; innovation; a robust financial performance; a commitment to diversity and inclusion and a strong client/customer focus. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 11th May 2022, in London.

BoKlok is a residential housing concept providing sustainable home ownership for the many people. The concept is developed and jointly owned by Skanska and IKEA. While BoKlok has been operating successfully in the Nordics for the last 25 years, it was in 2019 when the partnership officially launched in the UK. Built using modern methods of construction, BoKlok homes are designed to not only be constructed more sustainably but to assist future occupants to live more sustainably too.

Jerrie Kristiansson, Sales Director of BoKlok UK, said:

- We feel very honoured to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award. At BoKlok, we are driven by an ambition to deliver high quality, sustainable new homes, while making home ownership more accessible to the many people. Having delivered over 14,000 new homes across the Nordics, we are now very excited to be bringing this Scandinavian inspired concept to the UK.

BoKlok on the Brook is the flagship of BoKlok UK scheme, delivering a collection of family houses and apartments in Bristol. These homes are now all sold. In November 2021, BoKlok launched its second UK scheme - BoKlok on the Lake, a new collection of apartments in Worthing. Phase one here is now all reserved, with a second phase to follow. Further developments are currently underway.

The RESI Awards, organised by Property Week are a must-attend event in the UK residential property calendar and aim to celebrate the residential property market and its successes of the past year. The Newcomer Award specifically looks to celebrate those organisations and individuals that have launched or moved into a new sector in the last three years.
